The Annual Report of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund has been Published: 2023 in Numbers and Achievements

The Children of Heroes Charity Fund has published its annual report detailing the results of its activities in 2023. This report highlights the key achievements of the foundation in supporting its beneficiaries—children who lost one or both parents due to the war in Ukraine.

Growth in the Number of Children and Adaptation of the Strategy

In 2023, 5,639 new families joined the foundation, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to over 9,000. Consequently, the foundation has continuously adapted its approaches and strategies to provide maximum support to each family.

Expansion of Activities

One of the key achievements of the year was the establishment of the Foundation’s representative offices in the Netherlands and the expansion of the Board of Directors in the United States. This enabled the Foundation to significantly broaden its network of partners and enhance international cooperation.

Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, expresses her heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Fund’s team for the unwavering support extended to our beneficiaries:

“Thanks to the generosity and concern of our donors, in 2023, we were able to significantly expand our assistance to children who lost one or both parents due to the war in Ukraine,” she states. “Last year posed real challenges with the unprecedented influx of new children joining our foundation. It necessitated mobilizing all our resources and innovating to provide effective support. We have made strides, but there is still much work ahead.”

Key performance results for 2023:

  • 4,074 children received priority financial support.
  • 1,121 families received legal aid.
  • 3,899 children received gifts for Children’s Day.
  • 5,128 children received gifts for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
  • 8,743 psychological therapy sessions were conducted for children and their guardians.
  • 1,074 children were sent to camps in Ukraine and abroad to enhance their socialization skills.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the foundation’s team for their dedicated work, professionalism, and sincere commitment to helping each child; donors for their generous contributions that enable us to execute our assistance programs; and partners for their collaboration, shared initiatives, and trust in our mission.
