How to Join the "Children of Heroes" Foundation?

STEP 1

Provide Us with Information About the Affected Child

First, you need to complete a short form to join the fund. In the form, the applicant indicates that they know a child in need of help and provides the contact details of a responsible person. If the responsible person is you, we will call you and provide a list of the necessary documents for further processing. After that, you will receive a link to a detailed form to complete. This form includes questions directly about the child and their situation, as well as sections where you can attach scanned documents, etc.

We also regularly process applications from social media. These are handled in the order they are received. Unfortunately, as long as Russia continues to attack infrastructure and leaves us without power and communication, the processing period for an application can be up to one month.

All the information you send to the fund is confidential. We process personal data and ensure its protection in accordance with the Fund’s Privacy Policy.

STEP 2

We Will Verify if You Are Eligible

Upon receiving the form from the parent/guardian, we verify the provided information to ensure it aligns with the fund’s activities. If certain documents are missing, we will contact you for clarification. And if some documents do not physically exist, we can offer free legal assistance to help restore them.

STEP 3

We Send You Initial Material Assistance

Once your enrollment is approved, you will receive initial material assistance from the “Children of Heroes” fund directly to your bank card. Typically, this assistance helps our beneficiaries cover debts incurred due to the war, purchase food, and buy medicines for a home first aid kit.

STEP 4

You Begin Your Journey with an Assistant

A family assistant—a specialist from the “Children of Heroes” fund—will contact you. You can always count on their support.

During the first call, the assistant will provide a detailed explanation of the fund’s assistance programs. These include emergency (both material and psychological) assistance, life assistance, socialization, education, healthcare, child mentoring, and more.

If needed, the assistant will also gather any additional requests from you.

The “Children of Heroes” fund provides support to its beneficiaries until they reach adulthood. Our focus is on helping children restore their physical and mental health after their experiences, achieve success in life, and grow into proactive and successful members of both the Ukrainian and international communities.
