The successful preparation for the 2024 school year is now complete! Thanks to the combined efforts of our partners and donors, we provided essential school supplies and backpacks to 4,075 children, helping them start or continue their educational journey with confidence.
The total funds raised for preparing children for school amounted to UAH 3.9 million, in both in-kind donations and financial contributions. With the support of our donors and partners, we supplied the children of Heroes with stationery, backpacks filled with school supplies, drawing kits, pencil cases, and more.
We are deeply grateful to all 15 donors and organizations who made it possible for the children of Heroes to start school equipped with everything they need. The largest contributions to providing stationery came from KITE (Vivat), Aurora and METRO. Thanks to their involvement, the Fund supplied around 3,500 students with stationery sets and backpacks.
Remote learning has become an integral part of the education process, but the lack of technology prevents thousands of Ukrainian children from accessing quality education. Thanks to the support of dedicated donors, we raised UAH 7 million in the first 10 months of 2024 and provided essential technology to 635 children of Heroes. Special thanks go to Aurora, whose donation of UAH 1.9 million allowed us to equip children of Heroes with the necessary devices for distance learning. Additionally, 259 children received tablets, laptops, and PCs that our partners generously donated free of charge.
However, the demand for devices remains high, and we continue to contact our partners for additional support. Currently, we still need to provide 323 children with laptops and tablets. Donations to equip a child with essential learning devices can be made on the Fund’s website.
Since the founding of the Children of Heroes Charity Fund, we have actively invested in the development and education of children. From 2022 to October 2024, the Fund has allocated UAH 80.9 million towards educational initiatives. We sincerely thank each partner and donor who has supported the Fund’s initiatives. Your support helps thousands of children across Ukraine overcome challenges and build a better future for themselves and Ukraine.
