Pavlo’s tenth birthday is coming up soon and he is waiting for his beloved father to return home. His mother cannot bear to tell her son that his father was killed during an incident of shelling in their native Maryinka in the eastern Donetsk region. He received head injuries from shell fragments – and sadly, doctors were unable to save his life.
Currently, Pavlo and his family have temporarily relocated to Dnipro in central Ukraine. As they had to abandon their belongings in Maryinka, the family require money for winter clothes and shoes. Pavlo is still waiting for his father to come home and hug him as he wishes for victory for Ukraine.
