On Sunday, 3rd of September, the wards of the Children of Heroes Foundation met with the famous chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo at a charity cooking masterclass in Odesa. The masterclass was sponsored by TM Freken BOK.
The aim of the masterclass was to support Ukrainian children who have lost their parents in the war, and to bring back the smiles on their faces, reminiscent of a carefree childhood even just for a few hours. Together with Ector, the children learned how to make a delicious dessert – lemon tiramisu. Each child had the opportunity to prepare and taste a portion of their own dessert creation. The children celebrated the end of summer with this delicious holiday.

At the Children of Heroes Foundation, we regularly organize such meetings with stars, so children can meet their idols in person, spend time communicating with their peers, and be distracted by something pleasant.
“In addition to financial and humanitarian support, children who have lost their loved ones to war need psychological support and communication with their peers. Such meetings give them strength and inspiration. It is like therapy, because the children can forget their pain for a while. We are grateful to our partners for taking care of our wards – we are sure that these positive emotions will stay in the children’s hearts for a long time!” shared Valeria Abdal, co-founder of the Children of Heroes charity and Family Assistant at the Foundation.

“All Ukrainian children are great heroes. Most of them have faced trials at a young age because of the war. Despite this, they have not lost their sincerity, openness and enthusiasm. They continue to dream and believe in the good. And I sincerely believe in them and that a peaceful and happy future awaits them very soon,” said Hector Jimenez-Bravo.
