Indian Businesses are Interested in Considering Systematic Support for Children of Heroes

October 19, 2023. Kyiv, Ukraine. The Embassy of Ukraine in India facilitated an extended meeting between the leadership of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation and Armie Channa, President of the Indo-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IUCCI).

The Embassy of Ukraine in India took an active part in organizing the meeting. With the support of the Embassy, the Foundation has recently started active cooperation with the Indian business community, government, and public institutions of the world’s leading country. The goal of the collaboration is to provide long-term support to the children of Heroes in meeting 100% of their needs.

The Fund supports the position of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood: “The state can and should open absolutely all opportunities for them to live in dignity, civilization, and safety. To live freely!”.

During the meeting, Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, presented programs to support children who lost their parents and families. They discussed the cooperation mechanisms with a specific list of Indian companies they had scheduled a meeting with. As of the beginning of October, the Foundation provides the needs of nearly 6,500 children of Heroes daily. Over the next five years, its beneficiaries may increase to 25,000.

Armi Channa, President of the Indo-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who has signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said the organization is ready to provide comprehensive support in establishing ties with the Indian business community, focusing on concrete steps to provide fundamental support to the children of Heroes this year.

India, like Ukraine, has more than a thousand years of statehood. Describing the 21st century, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “Today’s era is not an era of wars.
