The Fund’s collaboration with Nova Poshta began in September 2022. Since then, up until the end of June, the company has delivered more than 5.5 thousand parcels for the charity organization at its own expense, weighing more than 27 tons.
Logistics is one of the most urgent needs of charitable foundations. Every day they face the challenge of delivering aid to their beneficiaries. The Children of Heroes Charity Fund takes care of children who have lost one or both parents as a result of the war. Each of them needs financial, psychological, medical, and educational assistance, but also, items that can solve numerous everyday issues. And this means hundreds of parcels every month.
“We are pleased to have found such a reliable partner in Nova Poshta, who always supports us and quickly delivers what our children need. The volumes of deliveries made by the Humanitarian Post of Ukraine for the Children of Heroes are impressive: in 2022, 1775 parcels weighing 10589 kg were processed, and during the first 6 months of 2023, 3879 shipments weighing 16980 kg have already been made. “It is thanks to Nova Poshta that the Fund can provide humanitarian assistance to the families of its beneficiaries,” says Anna Khomenko, Head of Assistance to Affected Families at the Children of Heroes Charity Fund.
As of the beginning of June, more than 5,000 children have joined the Children of Heroes Foundation. 80% of them are the children of military personnel, 20% are the children of civilians. But as the war continues, the number of children under the Fund’s care increases daily. The forecast for the rest of the year paints a chilling picture: by the end of 2023, more than 10,000 children may be under the organization’s care. Accordingly, the scale of deliveries will increase significantly. However, Nova Poshta will always be there regardless of the volume.
“The Humanitarian Post of Ukraine” is a project by Nova Poshta created in 2014 as a response to Russian aggression. It has become a reliable logistical support for the volunteer movement. Thanks to the program, Nova Poshta pays for the delivery of humanitarian goods. That is, it is free for the benefactors themselves. Since 2014, Nova Poshta has delivered more than 900 thousand items at its own expense. Across almost 10 years of cooperation, the foundations participating in the project have sent more than 55 thousand tons of aid, all paid for by Nova Poshta. This is the weight of about 192 Mriya airplanes and has supported more than 11 million Ukrainians.
