Uklon, Ukraine’s first ridesharing service, has generously donated UAH 500,000 ($13,500 USD) to the Children of Heroes Charity Fund. Uklon made the donation to provide our children gifts for New Year’s Eve, which is an important tradition and a day to celebrate loved ones in Ukraine during the holiday season. They have also provided support for Children of Heroes’ “Light for Children” initiative, which aims to provide Ukrainian orphans with flashlights, power banks and reflective strips for theor clothing.
In addition, Uklon held the “Give kids a holiday” initiative, encouraging the kids of its drivers to write letters to the children of Ukrainian war heroes. The children wrote letters of support to the Fund’s orphans, offering words of encouragement to help them through this difficult part of their lives. These letters, and their words of support, serve as an important gesture for our children during the holiday season.
To date, the children from the Fund have received 152 handwritten letters along with their holiday gifts. We can’t wait to share their joy with you!
