Education and development

The Fund’s educational program provides new knowledge and skills, motivates children to develop and learn, and helps them realize their full potential. All of the Fund’s educational initiatives encourage children to shift their focus from trauma to growth, giving them the strength and determination to move forward despite the challenging realities of today. Motivation and a personalized approach to each child inspire them to achieve new milestones and set goals.

The Fund offers children the opportunity to participate in the following educational programs: foreign language learning, tutoring in core subjects to make up for educational losses, creative workshops, preparatory classes for preschool children, IT development and training, preparation for the National Multisubject Test, mentoring and career guidance courses, and an education abroad program.

Foreign language learning

Some of the key reasons children choose to learn foreign languages include:

  • The opportunity to communicate with people from different nationalities while traveling, working, or studying.
  • Increased chances of building a successful career both in Ukraine and abroad.
  • The potential to work in international organizations (both public and private).

Additionally, learning English provides access to vast amounts of information, as many of the world’s most advanced innovations are presented in English.

The experienced teachers the Fund collaborates with ensure an individual approach to each student, helping them achieve excellent results.

At the Fund, children learn foreign languages on approximately 10 different platforms in individual and group formats. There is also an opportunity to learn English with native speakers.

Tutors

Child-centered education lays the foundation for a child’s development, allowing them to assess their abilities in various areas and build skills that can serve as the basis for future professional success. This approach not only fosters academic growth but also considers personal development, social skills, and life skills.

The key is creating an environment where each child can progress at a pace suited to their individual needs and abilities. It’s crucial that learning is practical, providing children with the opportunity to apply knowledge in real-life situations. This helps them develop skills and adapt to different life conditions. In this way, the child not only gains knowledge but also learns how to apply it in practice.

IT training

IT training offers one of the most promising opportunities for children, as it not only provides technical skills but also contributes to their overall personal development. By mastering the basics of programming, children gain knowledge that enables them to work in various fields, either as freelancers or by joining large IT companies. Throughout their studies, they create pet projects and build a portfolio, which serves as an impressive credential for potential employers.

The project-based approach allows children to develop practical skills in real-world conditions, making the learning process highly effective. Course participants gain experience with real-world tasks, providing them the opportunity to launch their own tech startups early in their careers.

Additionally, during the training, children develop 8 key social skills that help them fully realize their potential in the future:

  • Emotional intelligence
  • Independence
  • Financial management
  • Public speaking and communication
  • Flexibility and project management
  • Leadership
  • Creativity
  • Networking and personal branding

Creative activities

Creativity provides children with the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, serving as an important means of self-discovery. Through creative activities, children can better understand their emotions, learn how to cope with negative feelings and share their joys and concerns.

During the classes, children:

  • Explore different materials, genres, and techniques of fine arts
  • Learn to work not only with pencils, but also with charcoal, pastels, gouache, and watercolors
  • Get introduced to still life, landscape, and portraiture, while developing their imagination and creativity

Gadgets

The modern world is rapidly advancing, and technological progress is continuously evolving. Gadgets have become essential educational tools, as well as means of leisure and psychological relief for children. With their help, we can shift a child’s focus from trauma to development and recreation, which has a therapeutic effect.

Children from frontline areas are particularly in need of gadgets. A laptop or tablet helps them distract themselves during long hours of air raid alerts when they are forced to hide and endure extended periods of psychological stress.

The Fund actively supports its beneficiaries by providing gadgets for learning and development, which is a crucial step in creating opportunities for their future success. With a gadget, children can enroll in the training programs the Fund currently offers. Additional classes with tutors in subjects like mathematics, Ukrainian, English, drawing, and IT programming are just a few examples of the courses children can access as part of the Fund’s efforts to improve their knowledge and stabilize their psychological well-being.
