The Children of Heroes Charity Fund, in collaboration with the THRASH!THRASH! store chain has completed a large-scale New Year project that brought holiday joy to children who lost one or both parents due to the war.
From November 1 to December 31, 2024, shoppers at THRASH!THRASH! stores could participate in this initiative. By purchasing items with the discounted price tag, customers automatically participated in the fundraising: 1 UAH from each such purchase was donated to support the Fund’s children.
Thanks to this joint effort, 1 million UAH was raised, which was used to buy the much-anticipated gifts for 1,064 children. LEGO, board games, soft toys, headphones, 3D pens, gift certificates, and even children’s thermal printers became not just gifts but symbols of care and hope for a better future.
The Children of Heroes Charity Fund expresses sincere gratitude to the THRASH!THRASH! chain for its initiative and participation in the project, as well as to every customer who contributed. For many of these children who have experienced the loss of their loved ones, the holidays are a special time when they long to feel warmth and joy. Each gift received through this project brought genuine smiles and a sense of not being alone.
As of January 2025, the Fund cares for over 11,433 children from all corners of Ukraine, 93% of whom are children of fallen soldiers. Therefore, the partnership with the THRASH!THRASH! store chain was an important step in helping children who need care and attention.
